Dear customers, friends and future friends, Hi and just to say that the New York Station is in a new location. Small venue. Intimate, cozy. And just myself there, when I'm not acting on Japanese TV. Also doing modeling and movies, too. Not a big shot yet, but trying hard. You can find me by making a right at the Mizuho Bank in Mito, which is adjacent to the Seven Eleven. Walk to the first corner, make a left. It's on the same road as art tower mito. I'm 15 meters on the left side of the road. There is also a sign which reads GON CURRY. Stop there. Look left. New York Station is there. See you soon, BEST REGARDS, Victor Casale, actor, author, artist, lecturer, cafe-bar owner...wanker, at times...cheers to all my Aussie mates, of course you too, Cammy in Cairns...

Dar Everyone, I closed the New York Station in front of the Mets Hotel and moved to a new location. It's now near, or rather on the way to the Art Tower Mito. Same road infact. Go down main street from ther Mito Station heading towards Daikumachi. Walk to the 7 11 on the first corner after passing Daie Dept. Store. Make a right. You can see the Mizuho Bank on the corner. Walk one block over and make a left at the corner. The New York Station is about 15 meters on your left. You will see a sign Gon Curry. New York Station is there. Small, intimate, good friends. See you there. Best, Vic

Hey Vic, I was in Japan back in 1998 for the Indy Car race and ate at your Bar every night. I was just going through some old papers and found something that you gave me with your email address and the name of the book you wrote. I looked it up on the computer and it brought back great memories. If I'm every back in Japan, I will come to visit. Your place made my stay memorable. Thanks, Dewayne

Hello there. My girlfriend and I have taken posistions in Mito teaching English. We'll arrive on August 21st, and I cannot wait to get into your bar and pick your brain. You see, my dream of dreams is to open my own bar in Japan. That, and to write my own unique bar-guide. I've been practicing the art now for almost 15 years, and I think it's about time to be the guy with his name on the door. When I read about you and how you did it, I thought "this is the guy to talk to!" and made a mental note to come see you when I get to Mito, and to take some serious notes. I'll even mix you up my signature cocktail, the "Continental". It took second in San Francisco's Haye's Valley Cocktail contest. But, no matter what, count on at least two new faces poppin' in at the end of August.

Dear World, This is a letter of thanks to the Irish. They came in great numbers dressed in green, to root for their team at the World Cup game at Kashima. Many stayed in Mito and many came to the New York Station to drink, to party, to share their Irish charm with us. It was a pleasure having you. Perfect bar manners, incredible drinkers...even loved the Irish songs in the wee hours. Brilliant boys! Thanks so much from all of us here in Mito. You are always welcome at the New York Station. The best to you in the next world cup. Cheers, Vic, owner of the New York Station

Hi Vic! Found your page while trying to get into a web page for our HS class. Billy Johnston indicated it was www.surf.to/Lindy.com but when I couldn't find it, Lindenhurst High was the next logical search. We missed you at the 30th reunion a couple of years ago! You and about 650 others that is. (Amazing how many of them never left there. As you can imagine, they were the majority of the attendees.) Some of your buddies did make it and from quite a distance: Casales and Ramos came from CA. Your name did come up though and it looks like you are doing fabulously. I am going to look for your book here. Perhaps I will come with my husband the next time he has to go to Japan on business. Congratulations and Best Wishes for your continued success, Linda Lang Killi

Hi, everybody, this is Victor Casale, owner of the New York Station, here in Mito, Japan, and author of the Mafia-Yakuza action-adventure novel, THE BUTTON MEN (Minerva Press, 1999.) I would like to wish you all a very happy new year. (Year of the Snake.) We'll be riding the snake down at the Station, rockin' and rollin' into the next century and into the next millennium. Please come and join us. My best to Brian Dentry and to Cammy. I'd also like to share the following good news with all of you. Mr Gelaye is no longer connected to the New York Station in any way, shape or form. I'd like to apologize for his rude and often bizarre behavior to many of our customers in September and October. He has been dealt with and good riddance. He got the boot on October 11th, 2000. Once again Happy New Year to all our friends around the world and I look forward to seeing you at the New York Station when you come to Japan. RIDE THE SNAKE! Best Regards, Victor Casale

Having done 42 countries. Having had a million adventures. Having died once. Having returned, I gotta say THE NEW YORK STATION is the happenning place in Japan. It's a place for old spooks to come in from the cold. It's a sanctuary for those blown out on the trail. It's a paradise for weltbumlers worldwide. It's a place to hang your guns and do a shot of bourbon. A well of babes. Take a dip. Shoot the shit. The original BUTTON MAN is there most evenings. Vinny Lucente is always there. Don D'Angelo is back in his den on Staten Island preparing for his next Family gathering. He wishes he could be at THE NEW YORK STATION. Come in and have a drink. You'll feel a hell of whole lot better for it. If you utter the secret code: GUMSHOE, Vic will buy you a round. And if you know the meaning of thne expression 'GUMSHOE' and who starred in the movie, he'll buy you another drink. CHEERS...A very satisfied customer....

Oh, no!!! Another mistake again... I was actually writing last message on Maxi-web, pushed submit button as first time, "well done" I of course thought so. Do you know what happened after the "push"? My message sent to NYS-Guestbook, "Oh, no!!! Shouldn't go there!" Folks, I need to change all CGI scripts again... Do you know what a big job to make a web-site? You'll see my big job at: http://orbweb.net/guest/Maxi/ See you there.

Hello everyone. Not sure if some of your remember me although I am sure Vic cannot forget Glenn, Jim and I sitting around shooting the shit late at night about Vic's old days at Rutgers when the lacrosse team couldn't win a game...however, I taught at NOVA...who?....why did I do that?...anyhow, left Mito in May and now I am sitting 15 minutes from New York City as a broker for an on-line brokerage company. Martin left Mito for China, Justin is gone too. Just makes you feel all dizzy when you think of all the wonderful people we left behind in Mito. Good luck to you all, drop me a line if you have any idea where the hell in this world is Glenn (the red-faced Irishman) and Jim (if you know him, no description is needed!) However, god bless all.

I have a holiday booked to Japan for the end of this month (Feb '99) and checked out some info and found your page. I also found out there's a plum festival in Mito at about the same time in one of the famous parks of Japan - Kairaku Park - so I'll be stopping into Mito and have a beer at your bar. Looking forward to it. Simon. Sayonara.

When your mouth is as dry as a dead dingos donga and your bloody desparate for something to wet your whistle, you don't want to be bloody looking for somewhere to tie up your roo. That's how I came across New York Station. Good blokes and a bloody cold beer. A couple of them speak a bit funny (not like the ones in Sydney, but just sort of strange) but they seem like the kinda blokes that would stick you in the back of the ute rather than let you wake up next to a scrubber with a blody cracker of a head that would kill a malley bull. Give it a try.

When travelling around Japan on business you sometimes feel worn out, lonely, and in need of a pick-me-up. If you visit a Japanese chemist the options are of course endless, however I prefer to visit New York Station. A relaxing atmosphere, good food and wine, stimulating conversation and natures most beautiful sights, all make New York Station the best way to forget your troubles of the day.

Hey little bro - a lot of the guests in this book seem to have stemmed from the old Mt Eliza High only they were all much smaller back then - when did they all learn to use computers? Big Big Congratulations on the upcoming wedding and WOW I'm going to be an aunty - it's about time someone else added to the grandchildren pool. Lots of love to Ayumi - stop making her wash all those dishes, it's much harder getting to the sink when you have twice as much tummy in front.

I've been told New York Station is THE club in Mito. I was commited to a life in Australia, but after the news filtered over here of the action in Ibaraki, I just had to pack everything and go. Is it the food, the music or just the combination of Vic and Brian that has made it the talking point of the world??? I'm on a mission to check it out soon. See ya there!!!!

My first visit to the "Station" Wow, what a venue! I write from the the State Library of Victoria and propose to add friends and relatives to the list. The Australian Open is being played at the moment with the drugs scandal of Petr Korda placing a very sour taste in the strawberries. I've been talking to a former Olympic athlete and he tells me that the Australians aren't as clean as some of our standards may suggest. Again, I find these things hard to digest and would encourage thoughts from any of the passengers of the "Station". If the conductor doesn't mind. Look forward to boarding this hsuttle again soon. Congratulations to Brian and well wishes for his impending family.

I was wondering if you do take-away? There's a definite lack of sake here in Malasia and I love the stuff with little bits of rice in it. Do you have that? And I was wondering, do you have stuffed tuna heads? And how much to send by the kilo?

Well there I was, standing next to the dunnie, out the back and to the left, when I heard the familiar sound of Uncle Vic telling a young wench of the advantages in having some experience of the wider world. I wandered on over said "G'day Mate, who's the babe?" Uncle Vic gave me a look like Mike Gatting does when he gets a flipper from Warnie on a Pakistani dust bowl that's turning more than a pubic hair. Well, as we all know, the rest is history. NEW YORK STATION..... the place where legends are made.

Hi, My name is Jimmy. I'm a hairdresser from Botswana Africa, and I just happened to stumble accross the New York Station homepage and then made up my mind to buy an air ticket and fly to Mito. Do you have an airport in Mito? If there is anybody in Mito there that needs an afro tell 'em to hang on, Jimmy is coming!
